Jennifer began CrossFit in the winter of 2013. Clueless, and quite intimidated, Jennifer entered her first ‘box’ unaware of what was to come. As an avid equestrian competitor, she was looking for something a little more to stay fit and strong. Jennifer’s profession, at the time, included training several horses per day, mucking stalls, and moving hay amongst other physically demanding chores. CrossFit not only helped her get stronger, but it helped her mindset as well. Both ‘sports’ require a strong, well-endured body and a calm mind. Although Jennifer does not train and compete horses anymore, CrossFit is still a huge part of her life. She began coaching in 2014. There is nothing more gratifying than watching an athlete hit a new PR, get their first pull-up, run a fast mile, or reach whatever personal goals they have set for themselves.
Jennifer takes pride in helping athletes get to where they want to be. In addition to CrossFit, Jennifer has also ventured into the world of Olympic Weightlifting. Everyday she strives to be better than she was yesterday. Better coach, better athlete, better person. And she strives for her athletes to do the same. Having someone who believes in you can make all the difference in the world. Four years ago she would not have thought that she would be where she is today; both physically and mentally stronger than ever before. Walking into that first box was the best thing Jennifer could have ever done.
